Upper Mustang Trek

Upper Mustang Trek is tucked away on the less-traveled, “hidden” side of the Annapurna/Dhaulagiri Mustang District in the Himalayas. Despite its geographical location in Nepal, the region encircled by this trek is heavily influenced by Tibetan culture. Thousands of years old monasteries, as well as chortens and gompas that almost blend into the landscape, offer spiritual wonder. In terms of Himalayan adventures, this circuit is off the beaten path, and the remoteness is reflected in the barren, unspoiled views and isolation of the traditional villages we visit. This trek can be done as a camping trip or as a teahouse/lodge trip; the choice is entirely up to you and is based solely on your desire to learn about the culture and landscape. Upper Mustang Trek is a fantastic adventure in Nepal’s hidden Kingdom. It is located in the northwestern part of Nepal, beyond the stunning Annapurna Himalayan chain, and has a large arid zone. The journey passes through a number of Tibetan Buddhist settlements as well as a dry section surrounded by brown sandstone rocks and seasonal flowers.
