Nun Peak Expedition

Nun Peak Expedition, is located in Leh Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. Ladakh shares a border with Tibet in the east and is heavily influenced by Tibetan culture. The Nun Kun mountain massif in Leh Ladakh consists of two peaks (twin Himalayan peaks): Nun peak, 7135 m / 23,409 ft), and Kun peak 7077 m / 23,218 feet. Nun Peak, located in the remote landscape of the Zanskar ranges in northern India, is the highest mountain in the region. Climbing Nun peak is an excellent opportunity to get high altitude climbing experience on a classic Himalayan expedition. Easy accessibility and short approach to its base camp make Nun Peak one of the most appealing climbing expeditions in the Western Himalayas. The climbing period and season for Nun Peak is June through August. While the rest of the Himalayan regions face monsoon during this time, the Nun peak comes as an excellent choice for climbers to take on their adventures to the next level. Experience the dominant landscape of the Indus River Valley and the encompassing Himalayan Giants while exploring Buddhist monasteries steeped in history. The highest peaks in the Zanskar Himalaya Range are Nun (7135m) and Kun (7077m), which dominate the Suru Valley landscape. Mountains flock to Mt. Nun because of its easy access and the fact that it is the highest mountain peak in Jammu & Kashmir. We set out on an adventure to see a slice of ancient Buddhist practices by visiting centuries-old monasteries and exploring Ladakh, the last Shangri-La.
