Pumori Peak is a beautiful pyramid-shaped peak spreading in Nepal and Tibet and has a height of 23,495 ft. It dominates the skyline behind Kala Pathar (19,000 ft). This is a very easy peak to identify because of its unique shape. “Pumori” means “Unmarried Daughter” in the language of Sherpas. Pumori expedition is a lifetime experience as the summit offers a mesmerizing view of the surrounding peaks in the Everest region.

Standing at an altitude of 23494 ft., Pumori is one of the central attractions of Himalayas. Any trekker or the climber who has made a trip to Everest will always remember its distinctive shape. In general, technically challenging Pumori Expedition is one of the best exercises for climbing Mt. Everest. This might be the dream of the almost climbers to put their feet on Mount Everest at least once in their lifetime. Hence, we have used this expedition as a training peak for Everest teams. We hope this expedition can really fulfill your dream of reaching on the top of the Everest in your next effort if you trust once. This climb requires solid experience in climbing as well as physical fitness.

You need to be at least in 3 camps after base camp to reach the summit. The base camp is just above Gorakshep at the altitude of 5300 m. After base camp, we set up the first camp at the altitude of 5,650 m, around the phase of Mount Pumori. The second camp is set at the ridge after the phase at the altitude of 6,000 m. The most technical part for this peak is around camp 1 and 2. Camp 3 is set at the altitude of 6,480 m, around the corner after the ridge. You can ascend to the summit from camp 3 to the top of Pumori. Most of the climbers use this route every year for the expedition to Mt. Pumori.

Requiring excellent physical fitness, Pumori offers sections of wild exposure, views of Lhotse and Mt. Everest, with technical difficulty worthy of any Himalayan alpinist. Pumori is a serious expedition peak, only for experienced climbers in Himalaya.
