The COVID-19 cases have fallen globally in the last few months, making a downward trend in the pandemic. Considering the situation, the Government of Nepal has updated the entry protocol for all travelers entering Nepal. With this, all the previously issued notices and updates regarding the COVID-19 entry protocol have been revoked.
For Fully Vaccinated Travelers:
All the fully vaccinated passengers traveling to Nepal must submit a full vaccination (Travelers must be vaccinated 14 days or more before travel to Nepal) certificate against COVID-19 mandatorily. This rule applies to travelers entering Nepal via air routes as well as land entry points. The fully vaccinated travelers no longer require a negative COVID-19 test report for flying to Nepal.
For Non-Vaccinated Travelers:
Travelers who are not fully vaccinated or can not submit the vaccination certificate will require a negative COVID-19 test report to enter Nepal. In such a case, the passengers must conduct the COVID-19 test (RT-PCR, Gene Xpert, and True NAAT) within the last 72 hours before check-in time. Likewise, travelers who have negative COVID-19 test reports are no longer required to stay in quarantine for even a single day
Resumption of On-Arrival Visa:
On-arrival visa has resumed for both vaccinated as well as non-vaccinated travelers. As long as the passengers submit all the essential documents, they can access the Nepal visa at the land or air entry point.
